Flock web browser not quite as straight forward as hoped, but works okay I guess. Adding images to my Flickr account, but will be adding links back here soon.

Update: This Flock problem due to an issue with sizes of previews in Blogger. They just need resizing abit in the Html. Kinda negates the usefulness of the Pics bar, when it's just as easy to go straight through Flickr instead. There seems to be an issue with Flickr (something to do with 'frobs' and missing sets in the pics bar, problems with Flickr filters). Also having other buggy issues with Flock, but that's more to do with installing a bunch of dodgy extensions. Still, bit disillusioned with Flock and it also needs a large monitor to work well, rather than a powerbook G4 15 inch screen. Still, the Stumble Upon extension is great.

Make Mac 10.4.9 look right: Use UNO The way OSX should look if only the GUI designers would stop arguing. If you have iTunes 7.2, you'll need to reinstall it, as UNO breaks this version sadly. iTunes just loves being butt ugly.
And when is Apple going to release a proper ipod video? I presume before Microsoft releases an out of date 30GB Zune in the UK. Everything has to wait for a bloody iphone! Can't wait to see the zunephone. Does Microsoft deliberately design ugly products? It's almost pathological!

POWERBOOK LOWER RAM FAILURE

The widespread problem of powerbook G4s, the lower RAM slot failing. Frankly the powerbook G4 was a real lemon. My 2nd ibooks harddrive failed within a week, then my new powerbook G4 had it's combo drive fail in a week, then it's battery needed replacement (to avoid explosion apparently) and now the logic board has a problem with the lower RAM slot. I've had to replace a faulty logic board in an ibook before, not sure if it's worth the effort to get this one fixed. It's out of the warranty period. Apple certainly design pretty, but not to last.

The iphone battery... Why not have a battery like an macbook pro, that will pop out with a twist of a button? Apple could charge £80 for spares and apple consumers would be delighted with an exorbitant, yet finally replaceable battery. Did it have to be that thin? What's the big deal with having easy to replace ipod batteries? You could easily charge more than it costs to renew an old ipod, you could sell them as backup power sources, not just to replace a failing battery. You could charge a fortune for a proprietary battery recharger. Apple designs for style over function on many occasion, less acknowledged is that it also designs style over revenues. Microsoft just wants to dominate, Apple want's to look cool all the time. Well, I say cool all the time, but Jeff Goldblum voice overs and Hodgeman/Long adverts are far from cool. That is all.

Well, taken a long time to get posts up... My Al Powerbook has been very sluggish recently. I thought it was due to a dodgy iphoto update. Nah, the lower RAM slot failed. Apparently a problem with all Al Powerbook G4. Frankly comes as no surprise, as 3 years ago I spent two weeks and three replacements before I had a working Powerbook. Apple need to spend more time with quality controlling their products. Style over function seems to be a BIG problem with Apple hardware. Sort it out! I can recommend your OS and software to friends, but in good conscience I cannot recommend your hardware anymore. It's embarrassing. My birthday is on June 12th, the same day as the next big Apple Announcement. Lets hope they announce a mac they doesn't fail after three years of use, like EVERY damn mac I've owned (My ibook needed a logic board and keyboard replacement after three years too). It's a good thing I hate Windows with an almost pathological disgust, otherwise I'd have turned to the darkside years ago. If Steve Jobs accidently reads this, can I have £75 to cover the 1GB RAM I've bought to fill my last working RAM slot? Thanks...It is my birthday you know!

Damn and I need a new ipod too... God, I'm a sucker...

I'd like an iphone too... Those black macbooks look cool... Why did I stop taking the medication? Apple-whipped consumer moron!

On a positive note, http://www.mapmole.com noticed I half-inched a picture from their site. I love Google Earth and Google Maps, such a great waste of time (rather than swearing at defective powerbooks).
